This blog is run by the Investigative Journalism class at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The class serves as the capstone for anyone that is a Mass Communications-Journalism major. Our goal is to take all of our undergraduate journalistic experience and produce a professional-quality journalistic piece.
For this project, we are steeped in journalism’s traditions of thorough research and objectivity. In many other ways, we are breaking away from that traditional mold. We wish to produce something that incorporates all forms of media, publish it on the Internet and maintain high journalistic standards.
The final product will be its own entity but this blog will be an important insight into its creation and will (of course) have links to all its components.
